Pembrokeshire farm accommodation - Farm bed and breakfast Pembrokeshire
Come and stay at our 20 acre smallholding in the countryside of Walwyns Castle in West Pembrokeshire. A beautiful countryside setting offering peace and tranquillity and overlooking fields with Shetland ponies, sheep and cattle surrounded by woodland, with a stream running alongside
Ron and Sandra built their family home on a parcel of land of the old Home Farm in 1975 and purchased the fields in 1996 to create their smallholding. Bed and breakfast developed over the years as their two sons were growing up.
“We are Pembrokeshire born and want our visitors to enjoy a real countryside experience and come to love Pembrokeshire as we do” Our depth of knowledge of the area and the local attractions helps us to advise guests on making the most of their stay in this picturesque county.
At differing times of the year, you will see sheep, cattle and ponies grazing and you can enjoy views over our fields with its woodland boundary and stream and watching the animals whilst sitting on our patio, enjoying the sun. Sandra is very fond of birds and has several feeding stations around the gardens – and these can easily be seen from the bedrooms and also from the breakfast table where a hearty traditional farmhouse breakfast is served using produce sourced locally including home made jams, marmalades and local honey.
This Parish of Walwyns Castle, part of the old Kensington Estate hosts the very impressive Church of St James and the man made Rosemoor Nature Reserve which is home to many bird species and wild flowers and will be perfect for an evening stroll.
We are an ideal base for exploring Pembrokeshire's main attractions of Skomer, Skokholm and Ramsey Islands, St. Davids and Solva to our North, Pembroke, Tenby and, Saundersfoot to our South, Haverfordwest, Dale to our West and Pembrokeshire’s 186 miles of coastal path. Brochures, leaflets and advice from your hosts will help you plan an unforgettable day out. We especially recommend a boat trip around the offshore Islands, or plan a day trip landing on Skomer Island to see its puffin colony in May, June and July.
We are just a half mile off the B4327 which links Haverfordwest with the villages of Marloes and Dale and on route for Skomer Island
